The Band


Billy Farmer - (Lead vocals, 6 and 12-string acoustic guitars)

Founder and leader of The Diamond Experience, Billy has been a professional touring musician and performer for over twenty years playing venues, large and small throughout the United States and Canada.

His early musical influence and training came from his family and his church. He continues to honor that tradition by performing at school assemblies, teaching youth guitar lessons and performing at Senior Centers in addition to his nightclub performances.

The Diamond Experience is a natural extension of Billy Farmer's passion to bring smiles and wholesome entertainment to those of all ages by presenting the warmth and charm of Neil Diamond's music to each audience, backed by his band of accomplished, professional musicians who share his passion.


Terence Paul O'Hara - (Keyboards, vocal harmonies)

A native of Tacoma and Bachelor of Arts graduate from the Cornish College of the Arts, Terry arranges and plays the signature Neil Diamond string and keyboard sounds to perfection. Among his many projects, he teaches music, performs at recitals and plays for his church.


Jay Douglas - (Drums, percussion)

Also a native of Tacoma and a founding DXP member, Jay's remarkable style cannot go unnoticed. Billy, Terry and Jay all attended Stadium High School in the late 1970's and the bond of friendship born there is revealed during each performance.


Kevin Dale - (Bass guitar, vocal harmonies)

Kevin comes to The Diamond Experience through his long time friendship with the band. His bass playing and backing vocals are 2nd to none. Steeped in rock, jazz and acoustic music; Kevin brings the energy and prowess to his performance.


Peter Tietjen - (Drums, percussion)

A Tacoma native with a solid track record and reputation among his peers as a topnotch pro, Peter's dynamics, accents and timing are vital in recreating the feel and sound of Neil Diamond's music.


Jim Cochran - (Keyboard, Vocal-harmonies)

A renowned Northwest band leader, Jim joins The Diamond Experience having had national exposure playing the music of Neil Diamond. His touch and attention to detail allow The Diamond Experience to glisten with every performance.


Erika Wolf - (Vocals and harmonies)

Also from Tacoma, Erika is a fast-rising voice in professional entertainment and the newest addition to The Diamond Experience. Erika brings that "something special" when she steps on the stage and then "something more special" when she begins to sing.
